Our simple process
The whole point of mobile auto body repair is that it shouldn't be complicated. From the moment you send us a photo to the moment we hand the keys back, the process takes about a day for most cosmetic repairs — sometimes less. Below is exactly what happens at each step, so you know what to expect before booking.
Your repair journey, step-by-step
Most of our customers across Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and surrounding South Florida cities go through the same four-step process. We've tried to make each step as low-friction as possible — no in-person estimates, no scheduling marathons, no surprise costs at pickup. Here's how it works.
I just noticed a dent or scratch. What's the very first thing I should do?
Take 3 to 4 clear photos of the damage from different angles — one close-up showing the damage detail, one or two showing the surrounding panel for context, and ideally one of the full car. Better lighting helps (try daytime, no harsh shadows). Then text the photos to (954) 548-9366 or email info@smartwaydentrepair.com. That's the whole intake step.
What should I expect while you're fixing my car at my home or workplace, and how long does it usually take?
Most cosmetic repairs take 2 to 4 hours start to finish, done right where your car is parked. You don't need to be present the whole time — many customers leave for work or stay inside while we work. We set up in your driveway, work area, or parking lot, do the repair, and clean up everything before leaving. No mess, no leftover materials.
Once I've sent photos, what happens next? How does your team come to my location?
Within an hour or two of receiving your photos, you'll get a detailed estimate by reply — usually with a written breakdown of what's involved and a firm price (not a "starts at" number). If you approve it, we schedule a same-day or next-day appointment. A technician then drives to your location with all the equipment needed: compressors, paint guns, color-match system, curing setup. Most of South Florida is reachable within an hour or two of dispatch.
After the repair is finished, what are the final steps? How do I pay, and what should I know about the finished job?
Before we leave, we'll walk you through the completed repair so you can inspect it under good light and confirm it meets your expectations. If anything needs touch-up, we handle it on the spot. Once you're satisfied, payment is due — cash or Zelle. All our work is warrantied, so if any issue comes up after we leave (rare, but possible), just reach out and we'll come back to fix it.
Ready to restore your ride?
That's it — four steps, mostly handled remotely until the actual repair. No shop visits, no rental cars, no week without your vehicle. If you're in Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach County and have damage you're tired of looking at, send us a photo and we'll handle the rest from there.
